Candele a Candelara — Candelara
One of the most famous Christmas events in Le Marche. On select evenings from late November to mid-December, the village turns off all electric lights and is illuminated solely by thousands of candles. Expect markets, workshops, food stalls, and a truly magical atmosphere.

Natale a Mombaroccio — Mombaroccio
A charming Christmas market set inside a medieval village. Late-November to early-December weekends usually feature artisan stalls, traditional food, decorations, and family-friendly events. Entry is 5€, free for children until age 12.

Castello di Natale — Gradara
The Gradara castle becomes a full Christmas village with lights, themed installations, nativity scenes, workshops, shows and markets running from late November through early January.

Christmas Markets in Pergola
The main event takes place on December 6, 7, 8: Cioccovisciola, a popular chocolate fair held in one of the most suggestive towns in Le Marche.

Christmas Events in Urbino
From December 22 to January 6, Urbino lights up with holiday magic. The season opens on December 7 with the Christmas tree and city lights ceremony, followed by weeks of markets, nativity displays, and a family ice-skating rink. On December 31, the city hosts a lively New Year’s Eve party, along with a full program of festive activities throughout the holidays.

Fossombrone Holiday Markets
Fossombrone’s “Magico Natale” turns Corso Garibaldi into a glowing wonderland from December 8 to January 6, with 250 lanterns, 60,000 lights, music, and even a magical “snow & show.” The town hosts concerts, readings, street performances, while shops and restaurants offer local products and seasonal treats like chestnuts, mulled wine, and hot chocolate.

Fano Christmas Markets
In Fano’s historic centre you’ll be able to find Santa’s Village, with plenty of activities dedicated to children. You can enjoy the Mastri Carristi papier-mâché nativity scene at the former San Francesco church. And you’ll see art video projections and multiple light shows around town during weekends.

Ancona che Brilla — Ancona
The regional capital transforms into a large open-air Christmas village with massive light installations, wooden chalet-style stalls, local products, and events from late November to early January. The main event is expected to be New Year’s Eve celebration, with Italian singer Francesca Michielin performing on stage.

Christmas Market in Jesi
Jesi decorates its historic center with markets, nativity scenes, and winter activities. Small but full of traditional atmosphere.

Village Christmas Events — Castelbellino & Surroundings
Several towns in the Ancona province host small holiday markets known for handmade crafts, mulled wine, and local associations’ stalls. The town of Castelbellino stands out for the tallest Christmas tree in Le Marche.
Province of Macerata (MC)

Macerata per Natale — Macerata
A full Christmas program with markets, a large ice rink, concerts, and festive exhibition. The town center hosts Christmas-themed villages and Santa’s house. Museums host special shows and events. From late November to January 6 2026.

Christmas Events – Civitanova Marche
Civitanova launches a month-long Christmas program with over 100 events from November 29 to January 6, including markets, concerts, theatre shows, children’s activities, an ice rink, a funfair, and Santa’s Houses. New this year is the New Year’s Eve celebration in Piazza XX Settembre.
Christmas Events – Civitanova Alta
Civitanova Alta becomes the “City of Nativity Scenes,” offering artistic presepi and festive traditions. The initiative aims to create a warm, inclusive, community-focused holiday atmosphere.
Christmas Events — Porto Recanati
The Porto Recanati Christmas Market will run every Sunday in December and on January 6 along Corso Matteotti. Key events include the Fano Gospel Choir on December 20, the “Natale a San Giovanni” concert on December 23, and a DJ set on December 27. Don’t miss the New Year’s open party, and the family show “Ti Porto…La Befana” on January 6 at Castello Svevo.

Potenza Picena – Living Nativity Scene and More
Potenza Picena hosts its 33rd live Nativity scene in the suggestive Selva dei Frati Minori, alongside artisan exhibitions.
Other events include holiday entertainment for adults and children in the town centre on December 13, 14, and 20.

Morrovalle Christmas Events
Morrovalle offers a month of Christmas events, including bonfires, a torchlight procession, concerts, children’s activities, puppet shows, and tombola nights. The main highlight is the Living Nativity on December 26 and January 1, with the historic center transformed into an open-air scene. Visitors can also enjoy Christmas concerts and the International Nativity Museum with over 800 presepi.

Natale di Pan di Zenzero & Castello dei Presepi — Porto San Giorgio
Porto San Giorgio hosts Gingerbread-themed markets, light installations, and a route of nativity scenes.
The program includes Aperitivi in festa on December 7 and a Christmas Concert on December 8.
The season culminates with the Gospel Concert under the tree on December 25 and the Living Nativity at Rocca Tiepolo on the 28.

Fermo’s centro storico features traditional markets, festive lights, concerts, and local product stands. You’ll find a popular ice rink in the main square (Piazza del Popolo) from December 1st.

Christmas Events – Grottammare
Grottammare’s celebrations open on 6 December with games, workshops, and Santa’s house, followed by a Gospel concert on the 7.
Other events include the beachside Presepe Marinaro, vintage markets and children’s shows. The holidays peak on 26 December with the Grand Christmas Concert, and the Presepe Vivente (26 Dec, 1 & 6 Jan). The final show is “I colori della Befana’’ on January 5.
